Dr. Satwah Presents Ultrasound-Guided Vascular Treatment
Posted November 13, 2019
Dr. Vinay Satwah from the Center for Vascular Medicine presented before a group of physicians from the Outpatient Endovascular and Interventional Society to discuss the techniques for ultrasound guided needle access. The technique he shared can be more useful to physicians than the traditional palpation approach.
Dr. Satwah also presented the findings from FAUST clinical study of over 1000 patients. Ultrasound guidance had similar primary end point and cannulation rates as fluoroscopic guidance and improved first-pass success rates.
Dr. Sanjiv Lakhanpal published in several medical research journals through the Lakhanpal Vein Foundation to help educate and raise awareness for vascular disease. He has been practicing medicine for 25 years, and is the founder of The Center for Vascular Medicine.
