Center for Vascular Medicine Opens in Annapolis
The Annapolis area’s First Freestanding Center Offering Diagnosis and Outpatient Treatment for Vascular Problems is now open!
Annapolis, MD - The Center for Vascular Medicine (CVM) has opened its fifth outpatient vascular center in Maryland. The outpatient facility, located at 108 Forbes St. in Annapolis, is the first in the area to offer minimally invasive vascular procedures outside a hospital setting. It performed its first vascular procedure this week in its state-of-the-art Cath Lab and has been seeing patients since August.

Common vascular problems include: Peripheral artery disease (PAD), characterized by a feeling of discomfort in the legs that worsens with excursion goes away with rest. Those at highest risk for PAD include smokers and diabetics. PAD greatly increases the likelihood of having a stroke, heart attack or amputation. Pelvic pain that is caused by vascular congestion. Pelvic pain will affect about 40% of women in their lifetime. Of those women, 10% with pelvic pain are estimated to have vascular congestion.
